Evaluator: Danielle Solovyeva, LMSW

Danielle Solovyeva is a trauma informed psychotherapist and immigration evaluation specialist whose work is shaped by her own family’s immigrant story. As the daughter of Russian immigrants, she brings empathy, cultural understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and families navigate the emotional impact of immigration challenges.

Danielle has eight years of trauma focused experience, working with immigrant communities from Russian, Jewish, Muslim, and Latino backgrounds. She is trained in EMDR, Polyvagal informed therapy, CBT, and mindfulness based approaches, and she is professionally proficient in Russian. Danielle has extensive experience supporting clients who have survived domestic violence, persecution, trauma, and chronic stress.

To ensure accessibility for Spanish speaking clients, Danielle works with trained medical and mental health interpreters who support the evaluation process with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.

Her clinical focus includes PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, and grief. Danielle is LGBTQ+ affirming and creates a safe, inclusive space for clients of all identities and backgrounds.

In her immigration evaluation work, Danielle conducts the clinical interviews, administers screening tools, and prepares the written evaluations. Her approach is compassionate, thorough, and culturally sensitive, ensuring that each client’s story is documented with care and dignity.

Supervising Clinician: Anna Hanson, LCSW - PhD

As the supervising clinician, Anna Hanson, LCSW, provides the final clinical review and signature on all immigration psychological evaluations. She has 18 years of clinical experience working with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, and grief, and she is known for her grounded and compassionate approach. Anna also has more than 15 years of supervision experience, supporting clinicians in trauma informed practice and high quality clinical documentation.

She holds a PhD in Neurocognitive Science and previously served as a professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she taught courses in neurobiology and social change.

A multilingual, LGBTQ+ informed clinician with lived experience as an immigrant, Anna brings cultural awareness and clinical rigor to every evaluation she supervises.
